VDH goes Code Green

Departure confirmed for Round Britain attempt

Jean-Luc Van den Heede should arrive this evening at around 2200 off Ventnor to start his attempt on the non-stop singlehanded Round Britain and Ireland record.

Despite less than ideal conditions off the north of Scotland, where a large calm is forecast, VDH with the assistance of his router Pierre Lasnier, have decided to go ahead with their attempt to break Michel Kleinjans 2004 record of 11 days 12 hours and 26 minutes for the 1,800 mile passage.
