Genesis win another battle

This time against UK International

Genesis International A/S of Aabenraa, Denmark, worldwide manufacturer of the Elvström Sobstad Genesis sails, has announced its approval of a Settlement Agreement with UK International LLC, one of several defendants named in patent infringement actions brought by Genesis International, A/S in the Federal District Courts in New York City, Detroit, Chicago, and San Diego relative to Genesis International’s United States Patent 4, 708,080.

These legal actions relate to the defendants’ manufacturing, selling, offering for sale and advertising the Ultra sail. UK International has agreed to cease such practice as of September 28, 2005. UK International has also agreed to compensate Genesis International in an unspecified amount for damages allegedly incurred by Genesis International from UK International’s manufacture and sale of the Ultra sail.

Genesis International A/S chooses not to disclose the specific terms of the Settlement Agreement at this time.
