Qatar's telecom provider to back Oryx Qyest

Qtel announced today that the company has agreed a unique fleet sponsorship deal with Quest International Sports Events (Quest), organisers of Oryx Quest 2005.  

As part of the sponsorship package, Qtel will be supplying state-of-the art tele-communications and technical support services for the race organisers and the large numbers of international media who will be attending the race start on February 5th.

Qtel is also hosting the VIP Tent at the Oryx Quest race village, which was opened on Sunday by Sheikh Jassim Bin Thamer Al Thani, Vice President of Qatar National Olympic Committee (QNOC), in the presence of Shiekh Hassan Bin Jabor Al  Thani, President of Qatar Marine Sports Federation (QMSF) including a number of VIPs and foreign dignitaries.

Qtel CEO, Dr. Nasser Marafih said, “We have been actively involved in supporting and sponsoring most of the leading sporting events in the country that has helped put Qatar on the global sports map.
