152 boats for Bermuda Race

As of US tax day, 152 boats had completed their application process and had been invited to enter the 2004 Newport Bermuda Race. 99 in IMS C/R, 12 in IMS R, 3 in the BB Demo division, 27 in AMERICAP NS, and 11 in AMERICAP 2h.
Boats range from the former Lighthouse winner Lloyd Ecclestone's new 94ft Keturah to Roy Disney’s new Pyewacket and Hasso Plattner’s new Morning Glory at 86 feet to the 2002 AMERICAL Doublehanded winner Lora Ann, an Express 37.
Sailors who wish to enter in the Newport Bermuda Race can still do so online here. The application for entry requires approval based on skipper, boat and crew qualifications before an invitation to race is issued. Racing is in five divisions: Big Boat Demonstration, IMS R, IMS C/R, AMERICAP™ NS, and AMERICAP™ Double-handed.
The 18 June Newport Bermuda Race is a pivotal race of the Onion Patch Series, raced for the North American IMS Championship.
