Agreement reached

Andrew Pindar and Tracy Edwards resolve their differences

In a joint statement Andrew Pindar and Tracy Edwards have said the following: “We are pleased to confirm that parties representing Ms Tracy Edwards and the Pindar Group have reached an agreement that was brought before Newbury County Court this morning.

"The agreement, which was reached with the full co-operation of both parties, has helped to formalise the situation between the two parties and confirms that Ms Edwards has made an undertaking to fully repay an outstanding debt to the Pindar Group by 6 November 2004.

"Tracy Edwards would like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew Pindar and the Pindar Group for their continued understanding. She recognises that it is their financial support and Andrew’s enthusiasm for the sport of ocean sailing that enabled her team to break four world sailing records in 2002.

"Andrew Pindar is pleased that a formal agreement between the two parties has been reached and hopes that the situation will now be swiftly resolved. He has great admiration for Tracy’s achievements and wishes her well for the forthcoming Oryx Cup.”
