Bubb searches for a sponsor

To help with leading British Mini campaign

Thursday May 29th 2003, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom
Disaster for Nick Bubb's otherwise highly successful Mini campaign came recently with the news that his sponsor Northern Computers have withdrawn their backing of his campaign. Bubb is now actively on the campaign trail to find himself a replacement backer.

"In the immediate future I need to get to the start line of the Mini Fastnet in Douarnenez. In the next six weeks the Mini calendar gets very busy with four races, all on the Atlantic coast. These present me with an opportunity to display my skills and the boats potential to a future sponsor. With my entry to the Transat race itself still unsure, it is these four races my attention is turning to. To cover the cost of these races, including my loan repayments whilst I am away I need to find £5000."

Bubbs says that from the two races he has carried out this season he already has a media file one inch thick. To read our previous interviews with Nick Bubb - click here and here and here.
