Speaking at The World Travel Market In London today where she unveiled the new global identity for the Gulf State of Qatar, Edwards commented, “three teams have already confirmed their entries in The Oryx Cup and The Qatar Sports Global Challenge and I have been in discussions with several other team owners.” She added, “I am delighted the other multihull owners can share my vision for the growth of our sport and can enjoy the benefits of the partnership between Maiden Ocean Racing and the State of Qatar.”

Edwards added, “We have made a lot of progress since the sponsorship announcement last month and we are looking forward to our first competitors meeting in London on 1 December where we can progress our discussions with all of the multihull owners and the three interested super yacht owners."
