World of TUI deadline extended

DaimlerChrysler epilogue event and round the isle race

In order to give entrants in the DaimlerChrysler North Atlantic Challenge every opportunity to enter the World of TUI Cup events, the organisers - the Royal Yacht Squadron and the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein- have extended the closure date for entries from 1 June 2003 to 7 July 2003.

Amendments to the Notices of Race will shortly be available on the official website.

Cuxhaven-Cowes
The first race, the World of TUI Cup Race from Cuxhaven to Cowes, starts on Sunday 13th July. Upon arrival in Cowes (expected 17 July), competitors will be hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron, commencing with an opening reception on Friday 18th July and the weekend sees various associated events being staged for participants.

Around the Isle of Wight
The World of TUI Cup Around the Isle of Wight Race, is scheduled for Monday 21st July. This race is open only to those boats that have participated in the first race from Cuxhaven. It will start and finish on the historic Royal Yacht Squadron line. Other events during the week include a visit to Portsmouth, an owner’s dinner and final prize-giving reception at the Royal Yacht Squadron. All social events in Cowes are sponsored by World of TUI.
