Tripon claims Mini race

First boats home in 500 miles two handers, the Course de Lions

Armel Tripon and Erwan Leroux were first to finish in the two handed Course de Lions race for the Mini class. They were followed almost two hours later by Jonathan McKee and Brian Thompson on Team McLube.

Over the course of 7 May a majority of the boats rounded the final mark off St Raphael before racing back to the finish line off Port Camargue. Unfortunately after the arrival of the front runners, the wind dropped and so it wasn't until last night that Nick Bubb and John Parker sailing Northern Computers finished to take fourth place - another good results for Bubb's campaign.

Winner of the Odyssey of Ulysses race, Sam Manuard with crew Loic le Bras arrived in third. Tip Top Too had been held up when they broke their starboard rudder.
