Brazilian night in Paris
Friday October 10th 2003, Author: James Boyd, Location: France
Skippers and crews taking part in the Transat Jacques Vabre were in Paris last night to get a taste of what it will be like when they roll into Salvador de Bahia at the end of November's double handed race across the Atlantic.
The party, thrown by race organisers Pen Duick, the towns of Le Havre and Salvador de Bahia took place in the Latina Cafe on the Champs Elysees in central Paris.
Prior to the party the race was presented by Pen Duick head Gerard Petipas along with the 41 entries before the competitors were allowed to let rip on Brazil's most feared cocktail.
Reports vary as to whom was the last man standing. We believe it may have been a tie been Sill's Roland Jourdain and Hellomoto's Paul Larsen.
