The latest from the Audi tron Sailing Series Audi Melges 20 racing at Riva del Garda

At the Audi tron Sailing Series Audi Melges 20 racing on Lake Garda this weekend it was  Fremito D'Arja that was crowned for a second time king following her first victory in Loano. But it was close with RUS-296 in second place only one point behind.

For the over 40 teams competed with six races completed across three days.

Dario Levi's boat (with criewmen Niccolò Bianchi and Stefano Lagi), was already a winner of the Audi Melges 20 Gold Cup in Naples, and this weekend moves ahead on his home waters: "We got back what we did not reach last year: right here in Riva when we missed winning," said Levi at the prizegiving which took place inside the Audi Hopsitality area due to the heavy rain. "This result has been mainly achieved thanks to the support of my crew. We are very happy with this victory. The boat has been very fast on every occasion and this will make us go forward in a positive mood.”

RUS-296 (Rytov-Besputin-Sergeev) was very competitive from day one and was followed by Asanta Sana (Dutto-Togni-Trani). There was satisfaction too the crew of Camay (Bonora-Fracassoli-Felci), at fourth and Kotyara of Oleg Evdokimenko in fifth ahead of Nika, Stig, sailing with ex-Luna Rossa, Francesco Bruni and Pierluigi De Felice, and Maolca.

Among the Corinthian teams congratulations go to Fantastichina of Wilma Homann.

Riccardo Simoneschi, leader of B.Plan Sport&Events, expressed his satisfaction having supported the idea to begin Audi Melges 20 races on Friday: ”Finally we have been able to complete an Audi Melges 20 act with all six scheduled races letting the discard to come into effect: especially on day one we have had an amazing day as reported by our multimedia contents published on our events social medias.”

The next challenge for the Audi Melges 20s will be in July in Porto Ercole, this coming weekend instead over twenty Melges 32s will be racing on Lake Garda, hosted by the Fraglia Vela Riva.
