Synergy consolidates

After three more races are staged at the Audi Sailing Series Melges 32 in Gaeta

Taking advantage of a favourable sea breeze, the Race Committee at the Audi Sailing Series Melges 32 in Gaeta ran three incredible races.

Each race has been won by a different team: Fantastica (Cirillo-Paoletti, today 1-9-4), Robertissima (Tomasini Grinover-Vascotto, 10-1-14) and Mascalzone Latino (Onorato-Benussi, 13-15-1).

Despite the various race winners, it is Team Synergy, steered by Russian politician Valentin Zavadnikov, that now holds a firm grip on the lead after a consistent day of competition on the Gulf of Gaeta. Going into the final day of racing tomorrow, the Russian team has a nine point advantage over Edoardo Pavesio on FRA Martina in second - a fierce fighter of last year's season finale, and in turn a solid ten points ahead of third placed Edoardo Lupi's Torpyone.
