High Performance Yacht Design Conference is to take place over 12-14 March due Auckland VOR stopover

The fourth High Performance Yacht Design Conference is to take place over 12-14 March, to coincide with the Auckland stopover of the Volvo Ocean Race.

The event as usual will be gathering of yacht designers, engineers, CFD and aero experts and all the other specialists involved in the business of yacht design. The focus is on the design, analysis, testing and performance of cutting-edge racing and super yachts. A list of 'abstracts' for the Conference can be viewed here, but for example includes Ian Campbell on 'Tuning of appendages for an IMOCA60 yacht', with other papers ranging from 'Development of the AC72 Class Rule' to 'Design considerations and velocity prediction of a hydro-foiled international moth'.
