X-Yachts UK appoint race developer
X-Yachts GB’s new recruit Guy Jackson has joined the Solent-based company to develop racing for the Danish manufacturer. Guy will be on hand to join owners on their X-Yachts to improve performance and race tuning.
Guy graduated from Southampton Solent University in July 2010 with a Bachelors of Engineering in Yacht Production and Surveying.
Though junior in years, Guy has a broad sailing CV, a previous winner in both National and World Championships.
Guy will be running a two boat racing programme on the X-34 and the all new Xp 44, which will be arriving at the beginning of May 2011. The yachts will take part in Warsash Spring Series, Vice Admirals Cup, Round the Island Race and IRC National Championships.
Guy will also be organising the 2011 X-Yachts Solent Cup on 7-8 May hosted by the Royal Southern Yacht Club, Hamble.
Guy will be supporting a number of other regattas in the UK during the 2011 season.
Guy will be available to join X-yacht owners to race throughout the season. Owners wishing to enquire about Guy’s availability to join them should contact gj@x-yachtsgb.com
