Assembly of the first AC45 America's Cup one design catamaran continued today with assembly of the 300kg 20m tall solid wing sail in situ in the former Emirates Team New Zealand base at the Viaduct Basin.

Scott Ferguson: Oracle Racing rig design team manager commented: “It’s been an amazing amount of work by a lot of people. It’s nice to see it all fit together so well and not on a computer screen.  And it passed its first load test which is a huge tick off my list.“
