ALL4ONE is the latest America's Cup team to sign up for the Audi MedCup

With two weeks to go before the Portugal Trophy, Cascais, the first event of the 2010 Audi MedCup Circuit, Audi (AG) have confirmed today a new entry in the TP52 class.

German multiple Olympic medallist Jochen Schümann and French America's Cup Team Principal Stéphane Kandler will campaign the newly christened Audi A1 Team powered by ALL4ONE with an international team comprising sailors from seven countries.

The Franco-German ALL4ONE squad was established originally by Stéphane Kandler and Jochen Schümann in September 2009 and with sailors from France and Germany, along with Spain, Italy, Australia, the Netherlands and Switzerland on board.

"We've been partnering with the Audi MedCup for several years now and are equally thrilled with the top-caliber sporting competition and the possibilities for presentations on water and along the coast," says Lothar Korn, AUDI AG Head of Marketing Communications. "The additional support of the Franco-German boat now provides us with close links to the team and enables us to offer our guests and customers an unforgettable sporting experience."

The new TP52 campaign will represent both the Kieler Yacht Club in Germany and the Cercle de la Voile de Paris in France and is currently located at its home yacht harbor in Valencia. From there, the yacht will be taken directly to the Audi MedCup season opener to be staged in Cascais, Portugal over 11-16 May.

"Audi A1 Team powered by ALL4ONE means the first French team in the history of the Audi MedCup, and the combination of Jochen Schümann and Stéphane Kandler promises to prove tough competition for the other 10 teams."

ALL4ONE will not only contest the five regattas of the Audi MedCup between May and September but also the TP52 World Championships in October.
