Dehler’s new range of quality performance yachts is heading for the UK following the purchase of Dehler Yachts by the Hanse Group.

Five new Dehler models, the 29, 32, 35, 45 and 60 are set to make their UK debut during the summer of 2010 with the first yachts arriving in June at the Dehler UK office in Hamble Point Marina.

The full range is in production at the Dehler Yachts factory near Dusseldorf. Dehler is now part of the Hanse portfolio of yacht brands which include Moody and Fjord. As Germany’s second largest production boat builder, Hanse is committed to underpinning the sales and support of this new generation of Dehler yachts.

Dehler UK is to be headed by Andy Hind, who has over 30 years expertise of sales, support and winning races in the fast cruiser racer yacht sector. He plans to bring Dehler back into the forefront of the UK’s most popular performance yachts. The force behind the UK operation is Inspiration Marine which already markets the Hanse brand in the UK. Hinde comments: “With the formidable backing of Hanse coupled with the innovation and quality on offer from Dehler, this is a range that will deserve the success that we expect and hope for”. He adds “We are confident of both top results on the race course, and many hours of cruising pleasure that our owners can rely upon given the quality and strength of Dehler’s designs.”

Dehler UK will be showing a number of the new yachts including the 32 and the 45 at September’s Southampton Boat Show.

Dehler has been a builder of fast, secure award-winning sailing yachts for more than 40 years and as part of their goal of constant improvement their R&D department is still developing innovations in sailing.
