J/80 stolen

New yacht stolen from yard in Hamble, do you have any information?

Between 13.00 and 14.00 yesterday (23 September) the J/80 known as Beefeater Bach was stolen from the Jayhard site in Hamble. The registration plate that was originally on the trailer light board was B16 GBR. The police have been informed.

The boat is three months old and was on its road trailer, which had stickers with the boat name on it. She is a white hulled boat, with the boat name written on the stern quarters, and she has green halyard bags and green lifeline covers. The boat was equipped with North Sails. The sail number is GBR924 and the Hull number is 536 which is engraved on the starboard outside transom.

It is likely that the identifying bits of kit on the boat will be removed but should you spot our missing J whilst on your travels and tours, please would you be kind enough to contact this office. We have not sold any new J/80 in the last two weeks so if one turns up at your yacht club please let us know.
