Rahm on form

Swede Mattias Rahm continues his winning ways in the Swedish Match Cup and in the final matches of group 2 today was beaten only by Dane Jesper Bank. Another Dane, Jesper Radich who is currently leading the Swedish Match Tour finished on 6 wins to 1 loss.
Having beaten Radich, Rahm won his group and so doesn’t have to go through the knock-out series sailed on Thursday to make one group out of the two. Rahm and his crew will be free until Friday and the quarterfinals - a good thing since today’s races didn’t finish until 8.00pm.
"We’ll use that time to sit on the rocks and watch the competition," Rahm says. "He also explains that the recent successes are all due to a change of tactics. "We try to sail our own race and not get into any situations where the umpires get to decide the match to our disadvantage. The competition is so good that we must be happy for every win and then we have to run our own show."
Also at the other of the fleet it has been equally tight and yet another Dane, this time Jes Gram-Hansen, the Swedish Match Tour leader earlier this year, was beaten by another Swede, this time Mikael Lindqvist. Both suffered six losses to one win but Lindqvist beat Gram-Hansen. "Sometimes you’re lucky and win against the right guy," Lindqvist says, now that Gram-Hansen is out of the competition - another disappointing result for the Dane.
