The dates for the 2004 Worlds have returned to their originally scheduled time on 22-25 September, 2004. The event will be hosted by the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, situated on an island with a picturesque view of the Toronto skyline. The very impressive Mumm 30 Class Perpetual Trophy was deeded in 1998 by the RCYC.

Renovations had been planned for the RCYC clubhouse, built in 1919, which made the initial date change to late August necessary. The Club has just recently informed the Class World Council that those changes have been delayed, so it is now available in September.

"September typically brings the best winds in Toronto," said Fred Sherratt, a World Council and RCYC member. It will also be better for the Europeans who plan on attending. It will be after the Italian summer holiday in August, and well after the Tour Voile. "We are looking forward to a great turnout, and plan on hosting a spectacular event for everyone who is traveling to Canada," Sherratt added.

Logistical information on getting to Toronto, as well as accommodations will be posted on the Mumm 30 website in January.
