Aussie 40s heading out this weekend

Inner Circle Rum Regatta will be second in the circuit point score for the Australian Farr 40 2003 - 2004 season. The regatta will be raced over two days, November 1-2, with racing taking place in the Palm Beach Circle, off Barrenjoey Head. Denis Thompson and his team from Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club will conduct the races.

After a successful regatta at Port Stephens the fleet will see Kevin Miller from Queensland join them at the Inner Circle Rum Regatta, with his boat Valley Tram. ' We are looking forward to hitting out with the fleet and will be racing in the remaining five of the point score regattas' said Miller. Winner of the recent Queensland Etchells State championship Mark Bradford, will be tactician for Valley Tram for the Farr 40 season.

Rob Skinner's Weapon, winner of the Corinthian Doors Peppers Anchorage regatta at Port Stephens, will be racing again with Rob Brown as tactician. Lang Walker will be steering Kokomo this weekend with Chris Larson from the USA onboard as tactician. Chris sailed most recently with Lang at the San Francisco Big Boat Series, where they place sixth in the 15 boat fleet.

Following the Inner Circle Rum Regatta will be the Rhodes Waterside Regatta on November 14-16, being hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. Tony DeMulder owner of the UK Farr 40 Victric, will be racing with most of his UK crew with a couple of local sailors completing the crew.
