Henri Lloyd have announced their support as the Official Technical Clothing Partner of TeamOrigin’s Extreme 40 programme and Match Racing Team for 2008.

TeamOrigin developed a relationship with Henri Lloyd during 2007, and have been working closely together to review and develop the official technical clothing range for the team. Also, as part of this partnership Henri Lloyd will be providing technical kit to TeamOrigin’s Extreme 40 and Match Racing Team.

TeamOrigin’s Extreme 40 team will be competing in the 2008 iShares Extreme 40 circuit, their first event being in Lugano, Switzerland last weekend, where the team finished in second position.

Regarding the match racing programme, Ben Ainslie and his team will fly TeamOrigin’s colours at three World Match Racing events this year - in Marstrand at the Swedish Match Cup (30 June-6 July), at the Bermuda Gold Cup 7-12 October) and in Malaysia at the Monsoon Cup (9- 14 December).

With the America’s Cup’s immediate future still in the hands of the New York courts the 33rd and 34th Cup cycles are still on hold. Consequently it has been a testing few months for TeamOrigin, Britain’s America’s Cup Team.

“We have had a close relationship with TeamOrigin since their first announcement in 2007, and we are delighted to be able to show our support to TeamOrigin during these uncertain times, we look forward to seeing some TeamOrigin sailors on the water over the next few months,” said Paul Strzelecki, Joint Chief Exec, Henri Lloyd
