Better conditions
Sunday June 22nd 2008, Author: Denis van den Brink, Location: United Kingdom
Day three on the European 6m Class Championships and the Bay of Morbihan was still showing off under the best weather conditions, with light southerly winds and plenty of sunshine. With three races sailed the leaders in both the Classics and Modern Class are under increasing pressure.
Britain Andy Postle still a leader in the Classics with a strong performance today on board Titia, but the Danish title holder Hans One and his Sunray are closing after today's performance
It is very much the same scenario among the Modern fleet where Germany's Courage IX (Alba Batzill) now has to tackle the threat of France's Yann Marilley who has a strong desire to remain undefeated in his home waters.
More action tomorrow for the last day of this exciting championship in which nine nations are represented among the 36 entries.
