Four way tie at the top after day one of the Toyota Sopot Match Race 2008 ISAF Grade 1

On day one of the Toyota Sopot Match Race 2008 ISAF Grade 1, ten flights have been held in reasons conditions. The leaders with four wins apiece are Torvar Mirsky (AUS), Steffan Lindberg (FIN), Keith Swinton (AUS)

The first race was between Peter Wibroe, (DEN) and Rafał Sawicki (POL), Wibroe defeated his opponent and scored first point. Because every point counts, most matches today were quite close, and some quite contentious. The best example of these would have to be between - Przemek Tarnacki, (POL) and Eric Monnin, (SUI) as well as the fight between Keith Swinton (AUS) and Torvar Mirsky (AUS) The official opening ceremony of Toyota Match Race 2008 ISAF Grade 1 took place at 8.00 p.m.
