All eligible boats are invited to enter the 2008 Total Lubmarine China Coast Regatta, based in Hong Kong and organised by Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC).

The three-day Regatta, which runs from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 October, will comprise a combination of geometric and islands courses for IRC rated yachts and will be based in the waters South of Hong Kong, near RHKYC’s Middle Island sailing centre. Champagne sailing in expected conditions of 15 to 20 knots will be followed each day by prizegiving and parties.

Under the leadership of the new management team, Total Lubmarine has extended to three consecutive years its involvement as Title Sponsor of the first major event in the 2008-2009 Asian Sailing Calendar.

A strong entry list is expected, with the racing division featuring not just Hong Kong regulars such as Hi Fi, FfreeFire 52, Fortis Mandrake, Full Metal Jacket and Ambush but spiced up with the prospect of a visit from Ray Roberts’ trophy hunting Quantum Racing, together with Paul Winkelmann’s 2006 Race Week Champion, Island Fling, and possibly Bill Bremner with Foxy Lady IV.

The entry deadline for RHKYC’s flagship inshore cruiser event is 19 September 2008. The entry form and Notice of Race for Total Lubmarine China Coast Regatta are available to download from the event website, www.chinacoastraceweek.com
