New design service

Now they have acquired the New Zealand loft, North Sails Europe are to offer the services of Burns Fallow, Micky Ickert, etc

The recent addition of North Sails NZ to the European group has lead to the launch of the North Sails Design Service. As well as improving the technological capacity, the service will enhance the design tools and the overall skills of the design teams.

Three senior designers employed by North Sails A/S will be available to the whole group. Michael ‘Mickey’ Ickert (also sail designer for Team Origin), Burns Fallow and Henrik Soderlund will work in co-operation with each sector of the organisation and the service will be available to yacht designers, mast designers, project managers and private owners.

The product range includes rig and sail plan analysis, sail geometry analysis and advice on sail forces, loads and location of deck hardware.

North Sails hold a unique position in the market place and continues to strive to stay at the forefront of technological advancements in sail-making.
