The Notice of Series for the 2007 Solent Cruising & Racing Association (SCRA) IRC Solent Series is now on the SCRA website.

The IRC Solent Series is designed to encourage large fleets of IRC rated boats to participate in close racing during the summer months.

Led by the SCRA, a total of seven member clubs organise the Series. It consists of seven days of racing from May to September and each day has a character of its own.

The seven days are:

Saturday 2 June
IRC Solent Series 2 - Royal Lymington Yacht Club
Start in central Solent, racing around the cans in the central and western Solent. The Royal Lymington weekend regatta continues on Sunday 3 June; however that second day is not part of the Solent Series.

Solent courses similar to Skandia Cowes Week, from the RYS line.

Saturday 1 September
IRC Solent Series 6 - the Nab Tower Race - Island Sailing Club

Sunday 2 September

Overall scores for individual boats will be calculated on their best five daily scores. An overall Solent Champion will be selected and will hold the overall trophy for the top boat in the Series.
