New distribution for range in emerging far-east market

J/Boats have announded that JK3 Yachts is the new and exclusive distributor for the entire J/Boats line for Asia, and J/Boats Asia has entered two J/80 Sportsboats in next week's Asian International Sportsboat Championship to introduce the marque to the locals. “These are exciting times for sailing in Asia,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of J/Boats Asia. “With the number of high-profile events coming to the area, people are embracing sailing with incredible enthusiasm, and we're happy to be able to show off the great features and value of J/Boats to Sportsboat sailors in the region.”

Brown and J/Boats President Jeff Johnstone will each skipper a J/80 in the Championship, which is hosted by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and organized by the Hong Kong Magic 25 and Sportboat Association.

After the Championship, The J/80's will stay in Hong Kong as demos for Hong Kong sailors to try out. J/Boats Asia's new HK office will coordinate test sails. Brown will open another office in Xiamen, China in 2008. Both offices will initially focus on the introduction of the immensely successful J/80.
