North Sails merger

To further strengthen the capabilities of the North Sails One Design operations in Europe its two entities have now merged to form a single company, North Sails One Design International Ltd, a subsidiary of North Sails A/S. This follows the successful merger last year of North Sails UK Ltd with North Sails A/S in Denmark, when the two One Design operations came under the same overall ownership.

Paul Hobson, who has so successfully spearheaded the UK One Design activities, will continue as Managing Director of the consolidated operation.

North Sails One Design in Denmark will continue to build sails for International classes such as the Dragon, H-Boat, Beneteau 25, Nordic Folkboat etc. Theis Palm and Lars Jensen will oversee the design and manufacture of the Danish produced sails, working closely together with Paul and the rest of the team developing new areas of activity.

By bringing these two divisions together, it has been possible to allocate greater resources to develop specific programmes for a series of National Authorities and their Olympic efforts, allowing the company to move further forward,

The head office of North Sails One Design International Limited will be at 3 Wingate Road, Gosport, United Kingdom, where the design and manufacture of sails will continue.
