Cowes Radio 106.2FM is celebrating its 20th year in 2005. It is the oldest special-event radio station in the country and is once again broadcast a mixture of live commentary, information and entertainment to competitors and spectators alike at the Skandia Cowes Week regatta.

Eight thousand men and women from all over the country will be on the Isle of Wight for the event. They’ll be competing in fast and furious races and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Dame Ellen McArthur and other top sporting stars and celebrities from film, TV and radio.

Spectators will be able to share in the action thanks to the radio station and its mix of expert commentary and analysis, weather forecasts, interviews, yacht racing gossip and music

The team includes Steve Ancsell, Dick Johnson, Chris Carnegy, Roger Price, Cheryl Buggy, Simon Vigar, Tracey Clarke, Karen Woods and Max Wilson.
