The British Virgin Islands and Sunsail have teamed up at Cowes to offer the chance to win a dream holiday for two, sailing around the British Virgin Islands. The holiday includes 8 days bareboat yacht charter sailing on a 36’ Sunsail yacht, flights from the UK, plus 6 nights accommodation at Marina Cay, a charming hotel on its own private eight-acre island.
The British Virgin Islands are also sponsoring hospitality at the Sunsail Club at Cowes and entry leaflets will be handed out with complimentary refreshments every morning and evening at the Sunsail Club. The BVI Tourist Board team will also be out and about around Cowes distributing entry leaflets. Entries can also be made via the British Virgin Islands website: http://www.bvitourism.co.uk. The name of the lucky winner will be drawn at the Sunsail Stand at the Southampton Boat Show on 23rd September 2005.
As well as the chance to win a fabulous holiday, the British Virgin Islands is also giving a bottle of Pusser’s Rum to each member of the winning team in the Sunfast class every evening. One lucky Sunsail team will also win a bottle of Pusser’s Rum for each team member in a daily prize draw.
Chris Satchwell, Commercial Director for Sunsail Worldwide, said: “This is truly a holiday of a lifetime for any sailor, and we are delighted to be working with the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board to bring this opportunity to everyone participating at Cowes.”
Adds Lynne Morris of the BVI Tourist Board, “This is a great way for us to bring the British Virgin Islands to the attention of the UK’s yachting enthusiasts. With around sixty islands to choose from, plus year-round balmy temperatures, it’s no wonder the BVI are referred to as the sailing capital of the Caribbean.”
