Johnny Hallyday cracks champagne on K-Challenge's new steed

Last night Johnny Hallyday, the famous French singer, christened K-Challenge's FRA 60, (ex-NZL 60, winner of the America's Cup 2000), at the French team's training base in Gandia, Spain.

FRA 60 is the boat with which the team will compete in the Louis Vuitton Acts in 2005.
All the team attended the christening of their new boat. “I am certain that K-Challenge will go very far in the competition. I am supporting them with all my heart,” announced Hallyday after breaking the Moët & Chandon champagne bottle on the hull of FRA 60.

Until this year's first Act on 16 June the team will continue their intensive two boat training program in Gandia.

With the entry deadline now passed for the 32nd America's Cup so K-Challenge will be the team officially representing France in the competition.
