Hitch-hiker off to a good start at the J24 Europeans

Racing is underway at the J24 Europeans being held at the Yacht Club Crouesty Arzon in Southern Brittany, France.

The 36 boat fleet put two races on the scoreboard yesterday with David Ellis in Hitch-hiker opening with two bullets. The wind was in the North East and built during the day from 14 knots to a maximum gust in the afternoon of 26 knots. The competitors did two 1.4mn windward –leeward races, both under I flag starts – the second race featuring some individual recalls.

In a close second, with two second places is Ian Southworth and Hedgehog. The top French team after the first day is Luc Nadal and Anthologie in 13th.
