US Sailing’s 2005 National Sailing Programs Symposium, presented by Vanguard Sailboats, is an event for sailing program organisers, with many unique seminars and workshops on the event’s agenda, including presentations by sailing experts Gary Jobson and Dave Perry. Program directors, organisers and volunteers are travelling from across the US to Miami from 12-16 January to learn more about running a successful sailing program and to network with fellow organisers.
The Symposium takes place at the Marriott Biscayne Bay in Miami. Florida is a center of sailing activity in the winter months with the Rolex Miami OCR, Key West Race Week, Junior Olympic Festivals, and many other sailing events scheduled to take place in the January.
The Symposium covers seminars and workshops of interest to various types of sailing programs, such as junior sailing, community sailing, yacht clubs, windsurfing schools, commercial schools, camps, Scout programs, college/high school programs, sailing coaches, adult programs, adaptive programs, parks and recreation, and YMCA programs.
Among the more than 20 topics on the agenda are:
- Championship sailing by Gary Jobson
