Strong wind hold up

Sean McNeill reports live from the Swedish Match Tour event in Elba

Initial round robin racing at the third annual Toscana Elba Cup - Trofeo Locman is under postponement due to strong winds. At 09:00 today the wind strength was between 25 and 28 knots from the southeast. The organisers will review the decision at 13:00, but the strength could increase if the wind shifts to the southwest as predicted.

Listed below is the initial schedule of racing. The first skipper listed is the blue-flagged boat and will enter the start box on port tack from the pin end. The second boat listed is the yellow-flagged boat and will enter the start box on starboard tack from the committee boat end. This schedule is not complete. It will be updated daily at the skippers’ morning briefing.
