Law leads the Jeep

A glorious sunny day with a SE wind of 8 knots meant that the second day of the Jeep Challenge 2004 went as planned.
The results, at the end of the second Round Robin, show Chris Law in the lead with 4 points followed by John Cutler with 3. Paolo Cian is also on 3 points, but having lost the head to head with Cutler, takes third place ahead of Pierre Mas .
The almost perfect weather conditions lead the organisers to bring forward the first semi-final regattas in which the best of three races wins. Winds of around 20 knots are forecast for tomorrow, which could increase to 25 knots on Sunday, the final day of the regatta.
The first race of the semi-final therefore saw the English Outlaw team up against the French with Le Defi, while Mascalzone Latino competed against Italian Challenger. Paolo Cian had a clear victory over John Cutler, as did Chris Law over Pierre Mas, a win which practically guarantees Law a place in the final.
The next semi-finals will take place tomorrow at 11:00.
