Poor conditions halt play

The fourth day of match racing at the Nation’s Cup was once again dogged by poor weather conditions. It was possible only to race one match which began at 13:10 when the Swedes on Victory Challenge lined up againstg GBR Challenge's Andy Beadsworth.
After a great start from the English team, the Swedish team had managed to pass them by the weather mark. Despite the continuous efforts from Beadsworth, Holmberg was able to cross the finish line first with a 24 second lead. With this result, the British team has definitely been defeated and does not go on to the semi-finals, predicted to start tomorrow.
The first Round Robin will end when the last two matches are raced, which is imperative to decide who goes on to the semi-finals alongside Team Alinghi and OneWorld. The remaining matches are between Oracle with Tommaso Chieffi at the helm and OneWorld driven by James Spithill while the second match will require Chieffi to line up against Victory Challenge.
Tommorrow’s program will start earlier than predicted. The briefing is at 8am with the first match scheduled for 9. This program has been changed so that the semi-finals can begin on the same day. Saturday is the last day of racing when the finals must be held.
Results:
Alinghi, 4 points
OneWorld, 3 points
Mascalzone Latino
Victory, 2 points
Oracle, GBR Challenge, 1 point.
