Red Funnel keelboat final
Tuesday September 23rd 2003, Author: Mary McBride, Location: United Kingdom
The final weekend of the Red Funnel Cowes Keelboat championship was sailed in the best conditions of a great summer, with around 30 keelboats turning out on both Saturday and Sunday.
The races were were sailed under the burgee of the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club and chief race officer Ian Lallow got all four races - two on each day - off promptly so Dragons, Darings and the weather on Saturday could hardly have been better. The sun shone all day and the wind blew a steady force two to three from the west.
