Deruelle takes Route des Iles

Final day of racing cancelled for Mumm 30s in Marseilles

Saturday September 27th 2003, Author: James Boyd, Location: France
With 12 races done and dusted in the Mumm 30 class' Route des Iles, it was Frenchman Dimitri Deruelle and his six man team on Marseilles-Cape Sport that were the decisive winners.

Today the final round the cans racing in the series were cancelled due to a lack of wind. This proved frustrating for Bent Dietrich's Rainbow team who had dropped third place the previous day and finished the regatta just one point behind Mumm 30 and Tour Voile veteran Jimmy Pahun.
