David Moffet is the newest member of the Hall Spars & Rigging team, joining the Bristol office in the newly created position of Project Manager. Moffet has 16 years of experience in marine-industry project management, most recently with the Hinckley Company in Portsmouth, R.I.
In this capacity, Moffet is responsible for facilitating the flow of information on all custom projects. He is the liaison between Hall and its customers, and the boat designers/builders/project managers involved in each custom build. In addition, Moffet will ensure each department of Hall Spars & Rigging has the parts and information it needs to complete projects on time and to the customer's exact needs.
"In recent years, Hall has grown substantially, bringing us many more customers as well as larger, more complex projects. To keep up, it was clear that we needed to raise the bar in our approach to project management. We're delighted Dave could join us. He is ideally suited to the task and is already having a great impact," says Eric Hall, president of Hall Spars & Rigging.
Moffet's abilities as a team player are reflected in his sailing resume. He holds multiple world, European, and North American titles in the J/24 and other one-designs; numerous match-race titles after years of crewing on the circuit, and has logged countless offshore miles in Bermuda and Transpac races and deliveries. He lives in Newport, R.I., with his wife and two children.
Hall leads the sailing industry in the mandrel molding/autoclave curing spar building technique; a process refined relentlessly over the past 10 years. Hall Spars & Rigging has state-of-the-art carbon manufacturing and full rigging facilities in Bristol, Rhode Island, and Breskens, Holland.
Hall Spars & Rigging is the provider of spars to Alinghi, Swiss Challenge for the America¹s Cup 2003.
