Steve Fossett and his nine man crew on PlayStation are looking on course to break the five day barrier for the TransAtlantic sailing record.

The maxi-catamaran is still well ahead of the eleven year old TransAtlantic sailing record held by Serge Madec on Jet Services 5 (6d 13h 3m 32s) and on schedule for a mid morning line crossing.

Their 0600hrs position was Lat: 50.14.980N and Lon: 08.15.960W.

PlayStation's speed has varied between 19 and 24.8 knots during the night but they are sailing fast again with their average speed over the route now at 25 knots. Their average hasn't dropped below 25 knots for the last 30 hours.

After passing The Lizard, PlayStation will head for Plymouth (Mayflower Marina), docking about 4 hours after crossing the line.
