New deckshoe launches from Dubarry

Wednesday May 14th 2003, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom
The new Polo and Navigator styles from Irish sailing shoe and boot manufacturer Dubarry are a stylish, trendy alternative to traditional deck shoes. Just as much at home in the office or out on the town, the Polo and Navigator are equally comfortable around the water, thanks to the use Dubarry's non-slip sole and high performance water resistant leather upper.

The Polo is a slip on shoe, and the Navigator is a lace up style. Both shoes are made from water resistant WR100 Mirapel leather. This crushed leather is a hybrid between pull-up and nubuck leather, providing the long lasting qualities of standard leather with the soft style of nubuck. The roll top hand-stitched front is also designed to keep out water drops.

Inside the shoe a soft Dubarry sock pad provides extra comfort for wearers. A moulded EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) shock absorbent sole, stuck and stitched to the leather, gives extra support whatever the surface underfoot. Especially important on boats, the bi-colour duo compound sole is non-marking. Where speed, agility and stability is key, the Polo and Navigator’s non-slip sole provides superior traction and grip that is far superior to other non-specialist shoes.

The Polo and Navigator shoes are available in a choice of Brown, Navy and Donkey Brown, and are available in UK sizes 4-12, European sizes 37 to 47. Both styles retail at £95.00.
