Swan's first cruising rally

Next week, Nautor's Swan will stage its first ever pure cruising event, adding to an already action packed calendar for Swan owners during 2003. Sponsored by long term partners Bvlgari, the Bvlgari Swan Caribbean Rendezvous will take place in the British Virgin Islands between 9th and 13th April and will epitomise the style, luxury and elegance of Swan yachts set against the stunning back drop of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.
Bitter End Yacht Club will be at the heart of the event with around 20 Swan's, including a Swan 112 and a number of Swan 65 and 56 yachts gathering together to rekindle the true 'Spirit of Swan'. The emphasis of the four-day event is on relaxed day cruises to various islands including Cooper Island, Norman Island and Nanny Quay. The Rendezvous will open with a poolside reception at The Clubhouse and close with a Bvlgari Barbeque and party on the final night, where all the Swan owners can come together for cocktails and presentations.
As well as sponsoring the regatta's social events, Bvlgari, the contemporary Italian jeweller, are holding a raffle for a Bvlgari Scuba Chrono ClubSwan Limited Edition watch. All proceeds from this raffle are generously being donated to the Virgin Islands Search and Rescue Organization, a voluntary organization linked to the RNLI. VISAR will also be doing a 'fly by' in their rescue vessels at the opening reception. As well as this, Nautor's Swan has arranged for four lucky children from KATS, a charitable organisation in the BVIs, which teaches under-privileged children to sail, to have the opportunity of 'racing' on one of the Swans in the fun, non-spinnaker, 'Round Virgin Gorda' race on the 13th April.
