Match racing comeback for Bertrand

The Australian who stole the America's Cup from Newport is making a rare appearance at a match racing event this weekend

John Bertrand is making a rare foray into match racing this weekend. The man who won the America's Cup in 1983 will be one of 13 teams due to compete in the Victorian Etchells Match Racing Championship being held in Melbourne on 24-25 February.
Bertrand is also understood to be returning to the helm of Australia II this summer at the America's Cup Jubilee regatta on the Solent, but the 12-metre's arrival in the UK is dependent on whether funding for the project comes through in time.
