New appointment at B&G

Nat Ives joins from Ker Yacht Design

B&G, newly acquired by electronic giant Simrad has appointed a new Race Specialist to head up its yacht racing activities. Nat Ives joined B&G from the offices of successful yacht designer Jason Ker, where he fulfilled a sales and general management role.

As a skilled racing sailor, Nat brings with him a wealth of ‘big race’ experience. He has competed as navigator in a wide range of yachts and events including the Fastnet Race, Prada Challenge for Classic Yachts, RORC Offshore Series, Cowes, Cork and the Port Huron to Mackinaw Race.

“B&G’s range of products is one that I have come to respect for innovation and quality having relied upon them time and again whilst out on the water," said Ives. Ives is a fully qualified Naval Architect having graduated with a Master’s degree from Southampton University. Prior to working at Ker Associates, he enjoyed a successful career in management and technology consulting, including mobile communications technologies and the project management of large IT Infrastructure developments.
