Optimist Europeans cancelled

Due to security problems at the Israel venue for the event the IODA Executive have cancelled

The Optimist Association has announced that the IODA European Championship 2001 in Israel is cancelled.

The IODA Executive had originally postponed a decision until the 1st April in the hope of an improvement in the security situation. As they see no improvement and consider there is an unacceptable level of risk to the young sailors they have decided to find an alternative venue.

A further announcement will be made on or before 15th April 2001.
