Gold medallists Steve Redgrave, Jonny Searle, Garry Herbert and Adrian Moorhouse will be sailing aboard Peter Harrison's GBR Challenge boats in evening demonstration match racing during next week's Skandia Life Cowes Week.

Steve Redgrave will be the first to join the America's Cup team on Monday, between 1800 and 2000, in the first of a series of races organised to demonstrate the power and speed of America's Cup Class yachts. The two GBR Challenge boats still in the country, GBR 41 and GBR52, will be raced against each other by professional crews from the GBR Challenge Sailing Team.

On Tuesday evening Jonny Searle will join his brother, Greg, who is now a member of the GBR Challenge Sailing Team. Together the brothers have won bronze and gold in the coxless pairs, Atlanta 1996, and coxed pairs, Barcelona 1992, respectively. Greg, who has also won seven World championship medals, joined the team in May as a grinder, a position where fitness and power are paramount. The third member of the victorious team in Barcelona, the cox Garry Herbert, will sail with the British America's Cup team on Friday.

Thursday will see Adrian Moorhouse join fellow Olympians Ian Walker, Mark Covell (silver medallists), Richard Sydenham and Andy Beadsworth who are now members of the British Sailing Team challenging for the America's Cup.
