This one really doesn't need a caption ...mfs - You’ve done it, got the medal, how do you feel this morning?

SR - I think last night at the medal ceremony, it finally dawned on me that I’d won a gold medal. I still feel a bit shell shocked but it feels amazing. At the ceremony, I felt like everyone in the crowd was a Brit and was cheering me on, it was amazing. All those people flying their union jacks, incredible.

Ian Walker had a word with me before the ceremony, while I was waiting to go on and told me to enjoy it and make the most of it and that helped, because I was first on and was feeling a bit nervous.

mfs - Where do you go from here?

SR - I haven’t really thought about it. I haven’t had a moment to think about it. I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet for anybody what we’ve achieved personally or as a team. It’ll just be nice to relax and enjoy it.

mfs - Are you looking forward to going home?

SR - I’m looking forward to having a bit of a holiday here first and then going home afterwards. I’ll miss the big welcome at Heathrow but I need a break, so I’m having a holiday first.
mfs - Have a great holiday Shirley and congratulations.
