At the London Boat Show - Part 2
Monday January 8th 2001, Author: Gerald New, Location: United Kingdom

For a start Don is a total catamaran man and never happier than when discussing the merits of his products and competing designs but always keen to promote catamarans, no matter what the boat.
Don specializes in a very bespoke service of delivery and assembly, arriving with the boxes and not leaving until the catamaran is assembled and rigged. With a range of craft from that includes the single-handed 'Inter 17', the Formula 18 rated 'Inter 18' and now at the show with the 'Inter 20' designed by Gino Morelli, he has a serious contender in the Formula 20 Rule class.
Designed from the start as an asymmetric rigged boat and built right to the maximum of the Formula 20 rules the Inter 20 has proved a very successful design with Line Honour wins at the classic Round Texel race to her record. Effectively a one-design with just one approved supplier for each component the quality of construction and finish are very high.
While length is at 6.12m (20ft) beam is within the towing width restriction and all up weight is just 190kg.
This season the Inter 20 carries a new Pentax (Mylar) mainsail which is nearly a kilo lighter than the previous material, they are also in a special 'Nacra Blue' which will be the official colour for the Nacra range of cats making 'on water' recognition easier in the big mixed class races.
