Blink - and they've gone

Incredible 60ft trimaran fleet roar out of Le Havre. James Boyd reports

Sunday November 4th 2001, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom
Ellen and Alain on Foncia after a while overhauled Belgacom and Fujifilm to move into second place in hot pursuit of Foncia's sistership.

The start was disappointing for Emma Richards and Michaela von Koskull on board Pindar, who were late for the line and then seemed to have problems with the furl of their genniker.

As the Transat Jacques Vabre heads west it will be interesting to see how long it takes the tris to overhaul the monohull fleet.
